About us
Door Distributors has been a thriving business since its launch over 27 years ago.
Initially owned by Michael Taylor & Malcolm Beresford, they grew the business from a reclaimed door outlet into the retail unit Chesterfield has known and loved for many years. The time eventually came, however, for them to move into retirement, but Mick & Malc wanted the business to be passed to someone with the knowledge and ability to nurture it and take it forward. Enter the Smith’s!
With over 35 years within the building and construction industry the time had come to hang up the tools and take on a new challenge. An existing relationship with Mick and Malc meant a strong connection, therefore Mark decided Door Distributors would be the next venture.. Door Distributors LTD was born.
Originally training as a joiner and then embarking on a very varied career within construction creating many amazing, bespoke homes for clients over the years, Mark has a plethora of experience to draw on. Therefore, whatever the advice or guidance it is you need we are confident we can offer the solution.
It was decided from the outset that we would take the established trade from our predecessors and introduce additional ways in which we could extend our reach. Our focus, alongside revamping our showroom has been to introduce web sales, bringing great quality, affordable timber internal and external doors to a wider audience.
Available to both trade and retail customers alike, we aim to make ordering your doors and ironmongery quick, simple and fast.
Our aim is to provide better than industry standard products at competitive prices on the internet, whilst offering fantastic customer service and still retaining our personal touch. A theme which has worked well for us over the years.

We’re big enough to bring you everything under one (digital) roof, but small enough to offer fantastic service.

Our team
Our UK based team works from our Chesterfield offices Mon-Sat. We are available from 8.30am - 5:00pm Mon-Fri and from 08:30am - 2:00pm on a Saturday. We are happy to answer your calls and queries via email, social media or telephone out of hours too.

Door Distributors are doing our bit to provide products that are sourced from sustainably managed forests, helping to protect our environment.
We’re delighted to stock several FSC certified brands (FSC-C109654) with FSC information available upon request. Our FSC certified brands are, LPD Doors, XL Joinery, Deanta and Hormann Trudoor.

So, whether you prefer a more traditional look to your home or are following the latest trends we have got you covered. Equally if energy efficiency, sustainability and environmental responsibility is a must then we have products to fit too. It’s our intention to keep up the good work and always be on the hunt for the latest innovations!
